Why EV ?

EV’s protect the environment

With the environmental effects of conventional petrol and diesel cars on global warming becoming more and more evident, we believe that EV’s are the only way forward for Australia’s future.

“ Electric cars lead to lower carbon emissions overall and under current conditions driving an electric car is better for the climate than conventional petrol cars in 95% of the world, even if electricity generation still involves substantial amounts of fossil fuel”

The same study predicts that…. “ in 2050, every second car on the streets could be electric “

There are more benefits to EV’s than just the environment.
Here are just a few ...

EV’s are quiet

Electric cars are quieter than their internal combustion engine-having counterparts. The only noises EVs usually generate is caused by wind resistance or tyre noises, and that is only at moderate to higher speeds.

EV’s are cheaper to run

They have a lower total cost of ownership, saving on servicing tyres and fuel. As of 2021 the average cost per litre of fuel in Australia is $1.50 in comparison to $0.33 per kWh. Check out the cost comparison calculator on the EV Councils page for more information.

EV’s require minimal maintenance

EVs typically require less maintenance than conventional vehicles because, the battery, motor and associated electronics require little to no regular maintenance. There are fewer fluids, such as engine oil, that require regular maintenance. Brake wear is significantly reduced due to regenerative braking.

EV’s cater to multiple charging options

Just like a smartphone, you can plug in your EV when you get home and have it ready for you to use the next morning. Since electricity is available almost anywhere, there are a variety of options for charging: at home, at work or on the road.
